4 Thoughts about Pink Shirt Day

Yesterday was Pink Shirt Day. The initiative started in 2007 in Nova Scotia when, “David Shepherd, Travis Price and their teenage friends organized a high-school protest to wear pink in sympathy with a Grade 9 boy who was being bullied [for wearing a pink shirt]…[They] took a stand against bullying when they protested against the harassment of a new Grade 9 student by distributing pink T-shirts to all the boys in their school.” as described on PinkShirtDay.ca. Travis Price shares the story here.

In the following video, I share 4 Thoughts about Pink Shirt Day and the issue of Bullying.

Here is a great infographic that clarifies one of the thoughts I share, the difference between conflict and bullying.
